6. The Exorcist
The Exorcist is a horror movie that shook everybody with its concept. Starring Jason Miller and Linda Blair and produced by William Peter Blatty, the movie showed the possession of a woman by a devil and its subsequent exorcism. The movie was nominated for the Best Picture award but as the content showed exorcism, the movie was also quite opposed in its time.
