Although a tiny nation, Singapore is food-centric and offers foodies acres and acres of food-based fun. Situated near the equator in south-east Asia, Singapore offers a host of tropical treats not easily acquired in more northern nations. Many of these, and thousands of other items, can be found in the massive markets spread throughout the country. In fact, the markets are often the best place to find a meal as they include restaurants and stands where you can choose your own food and have it expertly prepared. Eager for the next meal, many eating establishments here are open “24/7.”
