2. James Dean
James Dean or James Byron Dean was an American actor. He was passionate amateur racer and had several winnings to his credit. His favorite pastime was driving on Los Angeles highways at very high speed and outrunning police cars. In 1955, he wanted to participate in a racing event and left Los Angeles for North California with his mechanic, Rolf Wutherich. Early in his trip, Dean was stopped by police for speeding and received a ticket.
After driving for almost four hours, Dean reached Cholame and hit another car head on at high speed. The driver of the other car, a young student came out only bruised, Wutherich was seriously injured and Dean was killed instantly. Ironically, he had just shot a clip for road safety to encourage people drive carefully. He was died at 24.
