6. Hsuehshan Tunnel, Taiwan
Approximately 13 km. long Hsuehshan Tunnel in Taiwan, was opened to public in 2006 to reduce the traffic jams in the region. Snow Mountains are a very big natural obstruction between rural country Yilan and Taiwan. The tunnel goes down beneath these mountains, it is a link between mountainous east and industrialized west which homes most of the population. Tourists from all over the country come to Hsuehshan to experience the natural beauty. This road tunnel stands at sixth position in the world and second in East Asia.
