7. Slowing Rotation
It is estimated that due to the friction caused by stray particles in the space and tides, the rotation of the Earth is slowing down gradually. This slowing is indicated by the extra one-fifth of a second taken by the Earth to complete one rotation. However, this small change in time is not going to make an impact in the near future, but surely it would take a longer time to complete a day, which in the present time lasts for 24 hours.
