6. Billy Crystal
William Edward Crystal is a filmmaker, producer, writer, comedian and actor. He studied TV and film at New York University with Martin Scorsese. His first major role was on Soap, as Crystal Jodie Dallas, one of earliest gay characters on US television industry. His first film debut was in Rob Reiner’s This is Spinal Tap as a mime-waiter. Later, Crystal secured bigger roles in other Reiner’s movies, such as the Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally. Other Billy’s popular films are City Slickers and City Slickers 2. Crystal hosted the Academy Awards event nine times, between 1990 and 2012, second only to Bob Hope.
