Apart from phenomenal products like the iPad, iPhone, iPod and Macbooks; throughout its 30 years old history, Apple has churned out quite a few of flops. Some of them were ahead of their time, but eventually outstripped by later technology. This isn’t an Apple bashing-list; but about how failures can eventually make a company better.
10. Macintosh Performa
Macintosh Performa was a collection of renamed Apple’s computers, including Power Macintosh, LC, Centris and Quadra. Although Performa helped Apple to regain share in desktop computers market, it did so at the expense of average consumers. As the Windows 95 era dawned, Performa didn’t endear to the general computer consumers.
