Top 10 Apple’s Worst Failures

9. Apple IIGS

The Apple IIGS (graphics and sounds) is a radical departure from the previous Apple II; with better processing power, access to more than 1MB (not GB!) of RAM, graphical UI, mouse support and wavetable music synthesizer. The IIGS wasn’t bad at all and it was an improvement to an already great machine. Existing Apple II users didn’t accept it in large numbers, because there was still no demand for such an advanced machine.
