4. Sylvester Stallone (John Rambo in First Blood)
John Rambo is a Vietnam War veteran and a former Green Beret operative. Rambo is discharged from military service and upon returning, he is subjected to embarrassment and humiliation by largely anti-war American civilians. Excluded from the society and suffering from a severe form of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), he lashes back to the hostile society.
In Oregon, a paranoid and overzealous sheriff confronts and arrests him, triggering flashbacks of his ordeals during the war. As a protagonist, he unwittingly becomes the enemy of society, while fighting state police and National Guard soldiers.
