Mad Max is character from a post-apocalyptic world, who is skilled in combative driving. He can easily evade pursuers, both with automobiles and trucks. Max also has the ability to shoot accurately while driving in high pursuit and displays exceptional reflex, such as grabbing an attacking venomous snake as seen in Mad Max 2.
He can tolerate a great amount of pain and survive in the harsh, dry wasteland. Unlike most protagonists, Max is realistically susceptible to permanent injury. in sequels; he is shown to have scars and use leg brace caused by injuries sustained in previous films.
