7. Tiger Leaping Gorge
A moderate trek is all that is needed for this hike. Only 9.3 miles, it is a good trail to take to prep for larger expeditions. Roaming through bamboo forests, quiet villages, and bathing in the Yangtze River is what makes this place so special. The gorge got its name from a legend that a tiger leapt 25 meters across the river to escape the pursuit of a hunter. This is such an amazing walk, you can take it from three days up to a week, and your pace is entirely up to you.
