The post of a Probationary Officer with the SBI is a coveted position, primarily because the candidate will be a central government employee. Moreover, with the pay scale revision, Probationary Officers have reasonably high salaries along with the perks that come in with government employment. The recruitment of SBI Probationary Officer is done through written examinations. Based on your performance in the recruitment test, you will be called for the subsequent rounds of the recruitment process. Some Details That You Must Know About SBI Probationary Officers Recruitment

  1. Eligibility criteria

Before you apply for the post of Probationary Officer with the SBI, you must ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria of the bank. In order to apply for the SBI PO recruitment examination, you must be a citizen of India and your age must be between twenty-one and thirty. Candidates who have completed their graduation, but are not yet twenty one cannot apply. Similarly, candidates who have crossed the age of thirty also cannot apply for the SBI PO recruitment examination. However, there is an age relaxation of five years, for candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) and three years for candidates from, Other Backward Castes (OBC). Similarly, candidates who are differently abled or PWD can enjoy age relaxations from ten to fifteen years. Additionally, all applicants must have completed their graduation from a Central government recognized institute. If you fulfill all of these basic criteria, you can apply for the SBI PO recruitment examination

  1. Examination application process

In order to appear for the SBI PO recruitment examination, you will first have to fill and submit the application form. The application for the SBI PO recruitment examination must be done online, by logging in to the bank’s website. Once you have filled in all the relevant details, you will have to pay the registration fees to complete the process. On completing the test application process, you will receive a sbi po admit card. You will have to carry the admit card with you on the examination day. Without a valid identity proof and the admit card, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. There is no offline process of applying for the SBI Probationary Officers recruitment test.

  1. Examination pattern

The SBI PO recruitment examination consists of two parts, the preliminary and the main examination. Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will receive intimation, regarding the dates and venues for the ‘main’ examination. The preliminary examination consists of three parts, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. There will be thirty questions on English Language and thirty-five each on Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Each question will be of one mark, thereby making it a one hundred marks question paper. The main examination consists of two parts, the first being an objective test covering subject areas like Test of English Language, Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers, Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation and Test of Reasoning (High Level). The second part of the examination is a descriptive test of one hour consisting of essay and letter writing.
