Don’t be Stressed Out!
Stress and heart disease have been linked by scholars for years. It is so easy to get caught up in the daily stresses of life which can cause a slow but steady decline in overall health. Stress can lead to over-eating and a lack of sleep, both of which can be detrimental to one’s heart. The exact link between stress and heart disease is still debatable, but some argue that chronic stress keeps your body in a type of survival mode – where the heart is working extra hard, adrenaline is higher and blood pressure rises – all of which can cause damage to the heart’s artery walls over extended periods of time.
