2. Crash Test Dummies

Crash Test Dummies is a Canadian folk alternative/rock band from Manitoba, best known for their single, “Mmm mmm mmm mmm” (1993). Brad Roberts, the lead vocal was very identifiable with its unique bass-baritone voice. Crash Test Dummies didn’t receive significant recognition until their second album, “God Shuffled His Feet” (1993). The song ““Mmm mmm mmm mmm” from the album peaked at #1 in Australia, #2 in United Kingdom and #4 in the US Hot 100, but curiously it peaked only at #14 in Canadian chart. Today, the band is consisted only of Brad Roberts and Ellen Reid as full-time members, as others are busy pursuing other projects.
