2. Judy Garland


Judy Garland or France Ethel Gumm was an American singer and actress, who received many awards including Tony, Grammy, Golden Globes and Oscars. When she was 13, Judy and her sisters formed the Gumm Sisters. She played in 20 films and her performance in the Wizard of Oz in 1939, earned her an Oscar. With A Star is Born, Judy was nominated for Oscar for best actress and won the Golden Globe for the same category.
Despite her success, her life was overshadowed with financial turmoil, addictions and psychological problems; and she died at the age of 47 in 1969.
