Women's Health Issues to Be Mindful Of As You Age

Most people do not consider someone the age of 30 old and in the grand scheme of things it isn’t. But women do need to be aware of the health issues they will face once they leave their 20s. Below are some signs and symptoms women need to keep in mind as they age.

Tendonitis

When we are young, it seems like we are unstoppable especially if we are passionate about staying fit. Even the most strenuous activities can be completed with ease and are pain-free. When we get older our tendons tend to lose their elasticity and thus we experience pain as a result also known as tendonitis. Be sure to go easy on the workouts and pay attention to your body if you are more active than others.

Asthma

A large majority of the population associates asthma as a condition that only affects the young. However, that is not the case for a lot of women over the age of 35. The CDC has reported a huge spike in asthma-related deaths for women over the age of 25. Be sure to speak with your doctor if you are experiencing any elevated and unbearable symptoms with your asthma.

Back Pain

There is nothing worse than experiencing excruciating back pain. Unfortunately for women over the age of 30, it is commonplace to experience their fair share of back pain. If that back pain persists in something unbearable, you should contact your doctor and see if they have any tips to help you ease your symptoms.

Heart Disease

One of the leading causes of death in women over the age of 30 is heart disease. You should have regular checkups with your primary care physician and give them all the details about your day-to-day life. While it could be hard to openly admit that you are a heavy drinker, letting your doctor know about any bad habits could potentially save your life.

Hair Loss

Unfortunately with age, things tend to get a little weaker and end up falling apart. Hair growth is no exception and isn’t a condition that only affects men. Women also tend to lose their hair and could even notice it thinning out at the age of 30. Instead of worrying about any thinning hair, you could nip that in the bud by investing in women’s vitamins for hair loss

As we age, problems tend to arise not only physically but sometimes financially. As a result, some women tend to experience more anxiety as they age. While only recently, we started paying more attention to mental health and how it can affect our daily lives. It is important to check in with yourself and make sure things aren’t unbearable emotionally. Be sure to find someone you can talk to to help you with any issues you are facing.
