8. Virginia Woolf
Virginia has to her credit some famous novels like Mrs. Dalloway, To The Lighthouse and Orlando. However, despite a happy married life and a great writing career, she suffered from depression right from the beginning.
Depression and despair took its toll on Virginia as she decided to bring an end to the misery that she had undergone her entire life. coming from an eminent background, Virginia was shattered by the death of her mother. Her father’s death a few years later left her so severely depressed that she had to be institutionalized. There were periods of highs and lows in her life but finally after finishing her novel Between the Acts, she decided to take her life ending the ever-increasing despair.
