4. Hunter S. Thompson
Hunter Thompson was known mainly for his novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. He had a distinctive style of writing where he incorporated his own artistic creativity and experiences to the story. While starting of as a journalist, where he wrote more subjectively rather objectively, Hunter later moved on to writing completely. He had a massive collection of firearms and supported the legalization of drugs. However, it was his physical illness that was considered a reason for his taking his own life.
