2. The Dark Knight (2008)
This is the first of the darker Batman series of films from Christopher Nolan. A lot of die-hard comic book fans have complained about how the film changed the original storyline but the dark, gritty storyline and cinematography are not to be missed. The final film in the trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, took more in it’s opening weekend than this film so it could knock it from second place any time soon.
