8. Runaway Bride (1999)
This film follows Maggie Carpenter (Julia Roberts). She’s known for leaving men at the altar and at the start of the film has left three, all of which have been caught on tape. This has earned her the name The Runaway Bride. A New York journalist, Ike (Richard Gere), writes an article about Maggie based on facts from a jilted Ex of her’s. He gets fired for not fact checking and decides to write a larger article on Maggie.
He travels to Maryland to visit her where she’s living with her parents.
