5. The Case of Demonic Possession
During the late 1940s, the American newspaper carried several articles that were about a possessed child. These articles were about a boy who had been possessed by a ghost or demon and how he had been saved by the ancient ritual of exorcism conducted by a Catholic priest. The incidents inspired the novel “The Exorcist” which was adapted in to a horror movie by the same name.
