4. Accademia Gallery in Florence, Italy
This is the museum in which Michaelangelo’s David resides. The statue used to be out in a public square in Florence but it was moved to the Accademia Gallery in 1873 for conservation reasons.. A replica now sits in the square. The gallery is also home to some of Michaelangelo’s unfinished sculptures including the four Prisoners, which were intended for Pope Julius II’s tomb.
