9. Shanghai Tunnels in Portland, Oregon
In the 1800s men and women were kidnapped and sent the Orient to work as slaves. This happened a lot in Portland because of the series of tunnels under the city that led to the harbour. The tunnels are now said to be haunted by those who were kidnapped to never be seen again.
