In 1995 Ferrari’s Jean Alesi scored his only career win at the circuit after Schumacher went into the pits with electrical problems and Damon Hill retired with a hydraulics failure. It’s also the track where Lewis Hamilton had his first ever win.
The Wall of Champions is the final corner of the circuit and it gets its name because so many World Champions have crashed into it. In 1999 Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve all crashed into it.
