7. Scott Brayton


Scott Everets Brayton was a race car driver from Michigan. He completed 14 Indianapolis 500s, beginning from 1981 event until his death. Brayton died on May 17, 1996, when he was practicing in his backup car and the tire blew. The car spun around and went into turn two and hit the wall severely at a speed more than 230mph. Thus Brayton lost his life while practicing for the 1996 race.
