10. Fabio Casartelli
Born in Cosmo, Italy, Fabio Casartelli was an Italian cyclist who unfortunately died at the age of 24 in 1995. This Olympic gold medalist died during the fifteenth stage of Tour de France Championships. He fell off his bike and hit hard against the concrete blocks, resulting in severe head injuries. Although he was lifted to the hospital by the helicopter but all in vain. He died on 18 July, 1995.
