7. The Grand Canyon – Arizona
The Grand Canyon in Arizona is one of the most amazing of the natural wonders. The canyon has been created by the Colorado River and its tributaries. The present shape that the canyon is in was created by the river’s activity over 6 million years. The canyon is 277 miles long while the width changes from 4 to 18 miles in different places. Even the depth of the canyon stands at 1.6km making it an amazing place with layers of rock cut through by water.
