A person who is 50 years old has a high risk of getting shingles. The risk of shingles increases with age. Many medical experts say the people of 80 years old will have shingles.
If a person has a shingles rash, he/she should refrain from scratching as it will result in prolonging blisters. If itching sensation does not improve, then a person should take healing bath, using baking soda or cornstarch mixture, or apply soothing lotions and creams made from natural ingredients. The lotions and creams do not speed up the healing process but increase your comfort level.
