Even after spending a lot of money, the problem can still bother patients from time to time. High heels and pointy shoes are the main reasons why women face this issue.

Here are a few exercises that you can do to keep your toes fit

Please remember, if your toe pain still persists even after doing the exercises mentioned below, then you will surely need to consult a foot specialist (Podiatrist) for holistic recovery. For example, if you are looking for hammertoe pain relief in Houston, then you can visit the websites of clinics offering podiatrist services in that city, and schedule an appointment.

Toe Raise

You can try to raise your body height on your toes, and raise it as high as you can. At one point, you would be standing on the tip of your toes. Regular practice will improve their strength.

Toe Point

From a toe raise position try to shift your weight onto your toes, you will be standing in the most erect position, but never do this for more than 5 seconds, even if you are being supported by a wall.

Toe Curl

With using the support of a wall, place your back against the wall and stand on your heels. From the heel position, practice bending your toes back and forth. It is a difficult exercise, but strengthens your toes greatly.

You can do these three exercises in sets. These are most beneficial for people suffering from toe cramps and hammertoes. Never exceed the limit of five seconds in a certain position.

Golf Ball Roll

For people suffering from arch strain, planter fasciitis (pain in heels) or foot cramps, it is recommended to start with a simple golf ball roll exercise. All you need to do is place a golf ball on the floor and roll it using your feet. You should press the ball gently. You can do this for 5 minutes per feet.

Sand Walking

If you are having minor trouble with your feet, walking on sand (not hot) might solve the problem. Many people find it very comforting to walk on the sand barefoot. It is really a great exercise that almost everyone can do once in a while. However, you need to make sure that you do not step on any pointy object.

Towel Curls

Similar to the towel curl is the marble pick exercise, once you start picking up a marble using your toes, try picking up bigger ones.

All these exercises are great for people suffering from hammertoes and toe cramps, but even fit people can do these exercises to make their toes and their feet strong.
