JAC Delhi 2015 – Counselling For A Seat In Engineering Colleges In Deslhi

Joint Admission Counselling popularly known as JAC Delhi offers admission in 4 renowned Technical Universities Institutions namely Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D). Admission in every academic session in these Institutions/Universities is offered via Common Counselling.

Out of the total seats available in these institutions, 85% are reserved for candidates belonging to the Delhi Region while 15% are for those who belong to outside Delhi. Below are given the disciplines that are being offered under this common counseling:

  • Delhi Technological University or DTU offers 15 disciplines.
  • Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women or IGDTUW offers 4 disciplines
  • Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology or NSIT offers 6 disciplines
  • IIIT Delhi offers 2 disciplines

For admission to DTU, IIIT-D, IGDTUW and NSIT candidates are required to fill the Single Online Application form available Online. The admission process for these institutions is carried out in two/ simple steps:

Step 1: Deposit the Counselling Fee: All the applicants have to submit the registration fees and bank charges as applicable via any one of the three modes:

  • e-Challan of HDFC Bank
  • Debit/Credit Card through HDFC Bank
  • Net Banking Payment Gateway

Step 2: Register Online: On successful payment of Application fee, candidates have to register themselves online at the official website by filling in the parameters namely:

  • JEE Main All India Rank
  • Bank Journal Number
  • Normalized score in qualifying exam
  • Candidate Name
  • JEE Main Score of Paper 1
  • Date of Birth

On successful registration, a confirmation message will appear on the screen. Thereafter one has to take print out of the confirmation page and get it attested from the Principal of the School/College last attended or Gazetted officer as it has to be submitted at the time of admission.

Step 3: Fill the Choices: In this step candidates have to again Log In to fill in the branches of their choice in order of preferences. Candidates are hereby advised to fill in the maximum number of choices thereby enhancing the chances of early seat allotment. Candidates also have to take the print out of the duly filled in choices once the registration process gets closed and submit the same at the time of admission but it should be duly signed too.

Once the seat has been allotted to the candidate via Common Counselling, they are required to submit the requisite fee and further report to the allotted University/institution as per the dates specified and within the stipulated time to complete the admission formalities. Admission formalities include verification of the documents and confirmation of admission.

If any candidate fails in these two steps his/her seat will be cancelled and the candidate will not be allowed to participate in any further round of Online Counselling. The counseling is being conducted in various rounds. No admission will be offered once the admission process has come to an end.
