How We Expose Our Body With Toxins?

This is a typical day for many people. We brush our teeth with toothpaste in the morning. During the next morning cleaning routines, we use shampoo, soap, shower gel, shaving cream and conditioner. After a refreshing bath, we apply moisturizer and make up, as well as hairspray, mousse and hair gel. After an application of anti-perspirant and deodorant, finally with a spray of perfume; we are ready for breakfast. It would be a good thing if we could get food sources from organic source for breakfast. However, wheat and oat used for our breakfast could contain trace amount of pesticide. Bacon may contain some free radicals and the skin that coats the fresh apple could be laced with various chemicals in the orchard. Just during the first hour of the day, we expose ourselves with an unimaginable quantity of synthetic chemicals. Our largest organ is skin and it’s quite efficient in absorbing external chemicals. In fact, people have used mustard seeds to cure sensitive skin, because it contains powerful antibiotic that can be absorbed by the skin.

It is clear that we don’t have to eat something to contaminate our body with chemicals. Our skin is good at absorbing chemicals and we should take a careful look at things that we use on our body. All products that we use may contain trace amounts of carcinogens and toxins – from our toothpaste to the tasty, fried bacon. Even toiletry products from a health store may contain some amount of dangerous chemicals. We shouldn’t trust the “organic label” too easily and it’s a good idea to directly read its ingredient list. Milk is infamous for being easily contaminated by pesticide, antibiotics, hormones and germs. Repeated studies on lab mice show that these chemicals will not only cause physical health problems, but also emotional and behavioural issues. Some health products that are supposed low in calorie and safe for diabetics may contain aspartame or other artificial sweeteners. With the proliferation of synthetic chemicals in our food, we shouldn’t be too surprised to see the increased incidence of multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, Crohn’s disease, lupus and other auto-immune disease.

At the moment, there are hundreds of pesticides approved for use in the agricultural stage and thousands of food additives are dumped into our food. In fact, a closer examination on our tap water could reveal many types of synthetic chemicals that can’t be found naturally. Just before we enter the car and drive for work, we have been exposed with so many chemicals. In this case, we shouldn’t think that we would survive unscathed in a world that’s so chemically saturated. Many people are unknowingly overwhelmed by toxin load and this is manifested by various health problems. People who have chronic illnesses and serious diseases should consider following a detoxification process. Although this may not directly cure their health condition; recovery will take much faster and it’s easier than on toxin-laden individuals who further put more medicines in their body.
