A nickel for only one cent is a bit too cheap, don’t you think? It’s not clear why the merchant, racokbooks, is willing to sell at a loss; but despite the potential 500 percent profitability, buyers also need to take into account Amazon’s expensive shipping charges ($4.49). Also, the US Government spent 3.46 cents in raw material to manufacture a nickel in 2003 and 11.18 cents in 2011; but unfortunately it is now illegal to melt a nickel.
