Sobig.F spread through email messages using various subjects and attachment names, such as “Re:Approved” and “document_all.pif” . On August 2003, it was programmed to attack 20 different IP addresses and install some malicious code. Microsoft offered $250,000 prize for information leading to the originator of the virus.
