7. Boiorix
Boiorix (Loss ratio 1:8) Boiorix was a Cimbri king, most notable for a decisive victory at the Battle of Arausio against the Romans, although he was later defeated at Vercellae. On 105 BC, two separate Roman forces moved to the territory of Cimbri and Teutoni. However, bitter differences between Roman leaders proved to be devastating. In thick forest, long Roman marching lines were frequently ambushed; after losing 80,000 soldiers and 40,000 camp followers, very few returned to Rome.
