10 Books to Read Before You Die

6. Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

This book describes events from a number of characters’ points of view, often out of sync with one another. This means that the timeline evolves with the story, rather than chronologically like most books. It follows a Captain in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and how he and his squadron have to fulfil their duty requirements before they will be sent home.
