Escapism
Warsaw
Różyckiego Bazaar
Acceptable in the '80s

In its heyday the Różyckiego bazaar pulled in punters from across Poland due to its impudent ability to sell goods forbidden by the communist rulers. But that cheeky, sticking-it-to-the-man irreverence disappeared in the late ‘80s, leaving Różyckiego a shadow of its former self. And that’s exactly why you should go. Rubber neck your way ’round the copious stalls that look frozen in time and soak up a Warsaw way of life that is slowly on the wane.
