Tasked with the rejuvenation of Warsaw’s contemporary arts scene, the Bęc Zmiana foundation has been active for nearly a decade promoting Poland’s best emerging talent. Unlike other art foundations and societies, their focus is firmly on using guerrilla actions to engage and provoke the surrounding community.
Their small creative headquarters on Mokotowska Street, which doubles as a gallery and bookshop, is used to host exhibitions, concerts, lectures and debates that mostly focus on social and community engagement. Aside from small but frequent exhibitions of emerging local artists, the bookshop brings their own innovative and limited publications to the fore, including their renowned zine that documents everything new and pioneering on the Polish cultural landscape.
