Situated in the heart of Schleifmühlgasse, Rauminhalt offers a smart mix of mid-20th-century design furnishings. Vintage hunters beware, the good here are too hard to resist. But don’t worry, prices here are fair and the one-of-a-kind pieces are relatively affordable.
Aside from classic design pieces by the likes of Verner Panton and Arne Jacobsen, there is a large assortment of vases, Scandinavian furniture from the ’50s and plastic design furnishings from the late ’60s—with some luck, from Joe Colombo! With a firm belief that one can never have enough lighting, dedicated design lovers can stock up on statement lamps. Poul Henningsen, anyone?
Rauminhalt also organizes innovative exhibitions exploring approaches to form and design, like the recent Daniel Spoerri chair installation.
