Among the cobbled-together “upcycled” (instead of recycled, get it?) products are flower vases made with old footballs and room-divider lamps cobbled together with film canisters and traffic lights. A stool’s former life was ostensibly as a garbage can, while ceiling lamps constructed from looped styrofoam hang suspended like futuristic spaceships.
The results are industrial and functional; materials are completely unrecognizable from its original life. Now if only our neighborhood homeless person could be as resourceful…
