While there is no need to make an extra culinary pilgrimage to Dots, it does lie conveniently on the Mariahilferstrasse. This sushi restaurant and bar is by far one of the better food stops on the high street. As far as “experimental sushi” goes, cosmopolitan travelers would have come across more avant-garde nigiris in their urban explorations. Dots does offer well-prepared variations such as Marilyn Monroll, a maki with tempura sake, chili sauce and pepper, or the cheese steak roll with beef fillet, cream cheese and scallions.
The lounge is done up in a cool modern with some inventive details. Sit in the “Snow White” section in the back, replete with white candelabras and Philippe Starck Louis Ghost chairs to clear your mind of high street sensory overload.
