Here is a concept whose time has come: a design hotel for aesthetically demanding travelers who don’t want to blow their entire budget on a place to sleep. Roomz, the flagship hotel of a high-powered investment group currently expanding throughout Central and Eastern Europe, deliberately markets to “people in motion.”
Designed by Archisphere, the details here are thoroughly thought out. Color themes define the hotel’s spaces such as the white lobby that resembles the interior of a spaceship. Every room comes equipped with flatscreen TVs, wi-fi, video on demand, multifunctional desks and even a safe for laptops. Defying the monotonous uniformity of budget hotels, Roomz deploys distinctive colors like magenta to personalize individual rooms. It is located near the Gasometer, an architecturally interesting residential and shopping complex housed in gigantic old gas containers, so guests won’t feel so isolated out here in Simmering. But no worries: the subway takes you straight into the heart of the city.
