Founded in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, the hotel quickly rose to aristocratic cult status after his widow, Anna Sacher, became manager.

Hotel Sacher is part of the city like the Opera House, the Prater ferry wheel, the Fiaker horse carriages and the Lipizzaner horses. The Sacher, as the Viennese call it, is a 5 star Vienna hotel that combines contemporary Viennese comfort and luxury with the charm and feel of the old Habsburg monarchy.

If you are searching for old world charm, tradition, and refinement, the Sacher is for you. Whether or not you choose to stay here, stop by the cafe for the world famous Sacher Torte.
