Seven years spent in the idyllic coastal region of Puglia, South East Italy, transpired to Gerhart “Ghino” Ginner’s relaxed approach to buisness.Trattoria L’Ambasciata della Puglia opens for reservations only, The idea being to offer only the best and freshest ingredients to his patrons.
Ghino’s regulars; the Italians and the Viennese, come to L’Ambasciata della Puglia specifically for this reason. Trattoria L’Ambasciata della Puglia is an impossibly rare culinary find. The menu, a collection of over 2000 year old recipes specific to the Puglia region. The ingredients freshly prepared, straight off the boat, to the grocer, to land on your plate. Some of the decor may not be in its original form after a fire consumed the restaurant and caused it to close for over a year. Reopening in September 2008, the unassuming trattoria still translates the ancient traditions of Italian cuisine, the antipasto, a wide variety of seafood specialities, a nip of homemade Lemoncella.
