Ein Wiener Salon is the gastronomic love-child of architect Felix Strasser and designer Sven Bader, who poured their hearts into this little gem of a restaurant. The space, which contains no more than 12 tables, comes adorned with an overwhelming large wall tapestry of Queen Maria Theresia, whose rosy cheeks and bright eyes watch over diners throughout the evening.
The open kitchen churns out—at times a bit slowly—four, five and six course menus, all of which include the best seasonal ingredients paired with refined (and affordable) wines. The restaurant is full of elegant yet modern touches, and with Strasser behind the stove and Bader at your service, the intimate space exudes warmth.
