Ambitious and inventive, this 1,600 square meter Morrocan-inspired “hotel without rooms” is a concept space complete with brasserie, champagne and oyster bar, deli cafe, club, lounges and an authentic hammam. Characterized by its attention to detail, Aux Gazelles offers a Maghrebian escape without having to leave the city.
The maroon-hued Aux Gazelles brasserie restaurant is atmospherically staged with candle light and a view of a greened inner courtyard. After its share of ups and downs, we’re glad to see that the restaurant has gained popularity with a broad clientele, from post-shoppers and post-workers to pre-clubbers and post-hammam guests. All come to indulge in this fantasy journey and the creative, well-spiced Franco-Moroccan fare.
Get in the mood with the Vie en Rose cocktail—champagne with grenadine and rosewater. If you can’t decide on which tagine to order, go for the couscous special platter piled with everything from lamb to shrimp. But save room for the orange blossom creme brulee—the flavors transport the senses to Morocco.
