The Wurstelprater amusement park, or Wiener Prater, is pink, smells like caramel and cotton candy abounds. For sugar lovers, this should be good news though, for others, one step inside may incite nausea. You should also be warned of the danger of getting lost in the fun-house and of injuring the man in the shooting gallery. Despite these risks there are harmless roller coasters, casino slot machines, autodrome rinks and haunted house rides waiting for you.

The entrance into the Wiener Prater is free; the public attractions are opened in summer well into the night. Children especially enjoy the merry-go-rounds, Punch and Judy shows and the old Viennese grotto train. And if you need some relaxation after the party, the “Green Prater” is just a few steps away.
