Volkertmarkt
Remote, but real

Right in the heart of so called “Alliertenviertel” (Allied Quarters) between the greens of Augarten and Prater you can find a very authentic viennese marketplace.

Volkermarkt is smaller than Naschmarkt and bears a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables from around the world, exotic herbs, meats, cheeses and baked goods such as bread, kaiser rolls, and torte.
Some of the best falafel in town can be found at the “tea house buchara” and there are a myriad of small stalls which offer everything from seafood, kebabs and traditional Viennese food such as Salzgurken or Palatschinken (compares to rolled up crepes) to clothing and accessories.
