Escapism
Vienna
Donaupark
WIG 74

Created between 1963 and 1964, this spacious park carries the difficult past as the former execution grounds for the Nazis during WWII, but has since re-blossomed into one of Vienna’s prettiest parks.

Alfred Auer designed the park, situated on an on island in the Danube, filled with diverse shrubbery and lounging spaces replete with rose and lily theme gardens, giant chess boards, skateboard parks and a petting zoo. Take it all in from the 250-meter tall Danube Tower, the park’s landmark that offers scenic and panoramic views of your plush surroundings.
