It’s impossible to think of bowling without thinking of Brunswick. Brunswick founder John Moses Brunswick took the game out of fancy Victorian parlors and into the public arena. He standardized the rules, organized the first significant tournament in 1902 and improved the equipment. His first high-performance rubber ball was issued in 1906 and his automated pinsetters in the 1950s.
In Vienna’s oldest bowling hall in the Prater you can see Brunswick’s success in bringing bowling to the masses. The location is as authentic as the crowd it attracts and it is a great place to enjoy an all-American evening with American food. For disco enthusiasts, every Saturday there is “Cosmic Bowling” with lasers, fog machines, glowing bowling lanes, balls and pins.
