There’s more to Vienna’s Konzerthaus than just Mozart—although you’re unlikely to find a better spot to enjoy a classical concert than here.
Since its inception in 1913, the Konzerthaus has remained true to its mission of nurturing traditional and contemporary musical styles alike. Concerts span the gamut of musical genres and tastes, with top-rated performances by such diverse artists as opera diva Jessye Norman, star violinists like Julian Rachlin and Gideon Kremer, jazz greats Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and Lionel Hampton, New York avant-garde musicians Uri Caine and Don Byron, Buena Vista piano legend Ruben Gonzalez and Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen.
The Konzerthaus is also renowned for its numerous resident orchestras, including such stellar acts as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Wiener Kammerorchester and the Klangforum Wien, and regularly hosts visiting performances by the celebrated Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
Multiple concert halls provide a magnificent backdrop and top acoustics that will leave music-lovers reeling.
